Limestone is a sedimentary rock mostly formed during the jurassic period by deposits of shells collecting on the sea bed and being compressed over time. This results in a very varied range of shell and fossil patterns, and an infinite range of shades - mostly from cream through to yellow, but also white and black.
Limestone is versatile and durable. It ages beautifully and only requires a little cleaning and treatment to ensure that it lasts for generations.
